Feel like a rock star as the kids of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa and a local celebrity welcome you at valet!  Step onto the red carpet and into the Hy-Vee Conference Center in West Des Moines where you’ll  be greeted by many of the working staff at Boys and Girls Clubs and members of the Board.

After registering, purchase a soda or cocktail and then browse our amazing display of gently used and some new handbags, sports bags, golf bags, briefcases, luggage and men's ties. One (or more!) will surely call your name!  After the silent auction ends, bid on fabulous items in the live auction!

It gives me great pleasure to assist in the coordination of the fundraiser Old Bags 2010 which benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Iowa.   I am thrilled with the new approach of celebrating diversity.  Our theme, An International Affair, will honor all the different cultures that comprise our great State of Iowa.

You have heard many times that “children are our future,” so as a community volunteer, I cannot think of a better way to contribute to a brighter future, than to lend a hand to organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Iowa that  create a safe, fun, positive environment for the youth, providing them with greater opportunities and high expectations.

I encourage you to participate as a volunteer, as a generous donor, or just simply coming to enjoy the Old Bags Seventh Annual Event, we guarantee you will have a good time.
